Apple is planning for a big focus on the smart home segment in 2025 which will start with a range of hub products in the market.
Apple is gearing up to enter our homes with its new AI-powered wall display that will allow you to control the devices. Smart home is one of the categories that Apple is yet to truly make its mark, and this new iPad-like display could be the best solution.
The company is also planning to bring a range of smart home solutions like the security camera, and other devices that will work through the AI-powered display. The device is still in the development stages but Bloomberg in its report says Apple could announce the product as early as March next year.
You will be able to control other smart devices, such as the camera and speaker, and even get Siri to handle some tasks with a comprehensive network set up in the room. The report says Apple will equip it with a 6-inch display and a camera at the top, allowing you to take FaceTime calls on the move. It will also feature speakers and a rechargeable battery.
A Whole New Beginning
The company is working on a new platform that will be running on this smart home hub display, but its overall focus is to make Siri and Apple Intelligence more accessible to a wider audience.Apple is likely to use its HomeKit setup to ensure that you can control all the smart gadgets in the house through the hub, positioning it as the ideal rival to the Google Nest Hub and Amazon Echo Hub.
However, Apple will need to be mindful of the prices, especially for its new product, which could reach as high as $1000 (Rs 84,000 approx). The price will also include accessories.
