Because the automobile sector moves so quickly, it can be challenging to stay on top of things. However, HT Auto is available to provide timely information on any significant occurrences. The following is a summary of Monday, November 18’s main highlights.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has been one of the most eagerly awaited electric cars in recent years. The largest Indian automaker debuted the eVX concept, the country’s first electric vehicle, at the 2023 Auto Expo. The production-ready EV made its debut in Italy later in 2024. The Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) plant will produce the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara for both local and international markets, preparing it for its premiere in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

On December 11, the next-generation Toyota Camry automobile will make its debut in India. To achieve more competitive pricing, Toyota will locally produce the ninth-generation Camry 2024 in India. It is already available worldwide. Since Toyota first debuted the hybrid sedan in India, it will have been there for 11 years.

In India, the VLF Tennis 1500W electric scooter has finally made its debut. It will start at ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Velocifero (VLF), an Italian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, stated earlier this year that it would be entering the Indian car market. KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd., the brand’s partner, will handle the production and distribution of VLF goods, beginning with the Tennis 1500W.Two versions of the VLF Tennis are available worldwide, and India will receive the 1500W model. A local plant in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, will produce the e-scooter. Now that Aprilia has a production plant in Baramati, VLF is the second Italian two-wheeler company to produce its goods in India.
