“Despite their profound love for each other, the couple has discovered that the tensions and problems have created an insurmountable chasm between them, one that neither side feels able to bridge at this time,” Ms. Shah told the media.
The music composer wrote to X, “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, contain an invisible conclusion. Broken hearts could shake God’s throne.
The breakup was announced by Ms. Banu, followed by a joint statement.
Ms. Banu and Mr. Rahman stated they separated out of “pain and agony” and begged “privacy and understanding from the public” during this “difficult chapter” in their lives.
Ms. Banu and Mr. Rahman (57) married in 1995 and have three children: Khatija, Raheema, and Ameen.
Ameen wrote on Instagram Stories, “Please respect our privacy during this time. I appreciate your understanding.”
