Officials confirmed that top personnel, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, and Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Deka, will attend the meeting.
On Sunday, Shah assessed the security status in Manipur following the cancellation of his campaign events in Maharashtra.
The volatile situation in Manipur, plagued by ethnic conflict since May of the previous year, has escalated due to demonstrations and unrest that erupted upon the discovery of women and children’s bodies.
A crucial meeting led by Shah is scheduled for Monday to assess the situation in Manipur. Sources indicate that he will provide instructions on managing the state’s current precarious condition.

Violence Escalates in Manipur: Attacks on Lawmakers’ Homes, Fatal Clashes with Militants
Amid an indefinite curfew imposed, a series of events unfolded following the tragic killing of three women and three children by militants in Jiribam district. Enraged by the incident, individuals targeted the homes of three state ministers and six MLAs over the weekend.
Angry individuals set fire to the houses of PWD Minister Govindas Konthoujam in Ningthoukhong, BJP MLA Y Radheshyam in Hiyanglam’s Langmeidong Bazar, BJP MLA Paonam Brojen in Wangjing Tentha, and Congress MLA Th Lokeshwar in Khundrakpam’s Imphal East district.
According to the police, mobs targeted the residential compounds of the legislators and their relatives, vandalized properties, and set fire to the houses while no one was home. The police further mentioned that the houses sustained partial damage during the violent incidents.
Manipur Police reported on November 11 that security personnel fatally shot 10 suspected militants during an intense confrontation.
Police stated that suspected militants took six civilians, including women and children, hours later from the same district.
Manipur Faces Escalating Violence as Central Government Reinforces Security Measures
The directive from the Union home ministry, announced on Saturday, mandates all security forces stationed in Manipur to enforce strategies focused on restoring peace and order in the region.
Armed troublemakers from both opposing groups have been engaging in violent acts, resulting in tragic fatalities and chaos in public safety.
In response to the delicate circumstances, the Central government has reintroduced the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in six police station areas of Manipur, including the troubled Jiribam, with the home ministry warning of severe consequences for those participating in violent or disruptive behavior.
Since May of the previous year, ethnic conflict between the Meiteis in Imphal Valley and the Kuki-Zo communities in the adjacent hills has claimed over 220 lives and displaced numerous others.
