Rumours surrounding Dehradun car accident
A social media claim suggests that the victims, who died in a crash involving a container, were drinking and celebrating before the incident. A video showing a celebration has circulated, but authorities have not confirmed if the individuals in the video are the victims.
HT.com also could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
Allegedly, the BMW overtook the victims’ car, causing the driver to feel challenged and drive recklessly. Nonetheless, law enforcement debunked this assertion by reviewing CCTV footage capturing the teenagers’ journey.
According to the CCTV camera, the Innova MUV only reached dangerous speed levels minutes before the accident.
A different speculation circulated suggesting that the individuals might have been protruding from the window or the sunroof as the vehicle raced, resulting in two of them being decapitated. Nevertheless, this claim remains unverified.
