Sanjay Singh, the Rajya Sabha MP of the Party, claimed in the Matiala constituency that all the “free services” provided by the AAP government to the people would be halted if they chose to vote for the BJP.
The “Padyatra” campaign of the Aam Aadmi Party was escalated on Tuesday as they hit the streets in various Assembly constituencies, urging the public to support Arvind Kejriwal’s return in the upcoming February 2025 election.
Manish Sisodia, the ex-deputy chief minister representing Krishna Nagar constituency, asserted that the populace associates the BJP with “blocked sewers, high electricity costs, and dilapidated schools.
The accusation was made that the BJP orchestrated the arrest of AAP leader Kejriwal in order to hinder his efforts in serving the public.
Kejriwal and Sisodia, who were detained in relation to a liquor policy case, were freed following an extended period of confinement at Tihar prison.
He mentioned during the campaigning that the public is likely to re-elect Arvind Kejriwal’s administration for a further five-year term.
Sanjay Singh, the Rajya Sabha MP from the Party, accused the BJP of threatening to discontinue all the “free services” provided by the AAP government if the people chose to vote for them in the Matiala constituency.
Singh accused the BJP of putting Kejriwal in jail because he provided free electricity, water, education, healthcare, free bus travel for women, and free pilgrimage for the elderly to the people of Delhi.
Saurabh Bharadwaj in the Vishwas Nagar constituency alleged that the BJP is depriving underprivileged youth of job opportunities by dismissing bus marshals, hospital staff, and personnel at the Delhi Commission for Women.
He declared that despite the BJP’s attempts to close down Delhi, they would not allow it to triumph.
Kejriwal resigned as the Delhi chief minister amid corruption allegations, asserting that he would reclaim his position only upon receiving a vote of confidence from the public in the upcoming February elections.
The party workers in the RK Puram, Janakpuri, and Patel Nagar constituencies were also accompanied by AAP leaders Kailash Gahlot, Mukesh Ahlawat, and Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla.
Praveen Shankar Kapoor, the spokesperson for Delhi’s BJP, stated that the AAP’s campaign was receiving a tepid reception, hinting that the public was ready to say goodbye to the current ruling party.
He mentioned that Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Bharadwaj steered clear of residential neighborhoods to dodge inquiries regarding the inadequate progress and upkeep of infrastructure in those regions.
