Initial investigations have revealed that Sajjad and Danish scoped out military camps and were plotting grenade assaults, as per reports.

Sources within the security network have uncovered that grenade attacks could possibly be the most recent tactic employed to target forces, as evidenced by the recent incident in Srinagar following a prolonged period without such occurrences.

An important revelation came to light when a seasoned Over Ground Worker (OGW) was apprehended following a tip-off from Military Intelligence. He disclosed that he had conducted reconnaissance on over six camps belonging to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in collaboration with his accomplice, who was caught in possession of grenades. Last week, Danish was taken into custody, and he was found with 10 grenades. Similarly, Sajjad Ahmed Dar was arrested on Saturday, and two grenades, along with pistols, were seized from him.

Intelligence agencies suspect that Sajjad Ahmed Dar acted as the supervisor for Danish Bashir Ahenger. Sources indicate that a preliminary investigation revealed Sajjad and Danish had conducted surveillance of military camps with intentions of carrying out grenade attacks. Surveillance activities were ongoing, and additional camps were being targeted. Authorities familiar with the situation alleged that the pair intended to employ grenades equipped with a timing mechanism.

A senior security official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that both individuals had been apprehended with the assistance of Military Intelligence. Investigations revealed that they had surveyed over six locations and intended to further scout additional target sites. Their scheme involved launching grenade attacks on these identified locations, with authorities recovering a total of twelve grenades from the suspects.

The official also mentioned that five batteries were found with the handler. These batteries were intended to delay the grenade blast using a circuit, providing them with an opportunity to flee after the attack. It is believed that there are more individuals implicated in orchestrating assaults on security forces.

Sources have reported that a hardcore OGW was apprehended by Pulwama Police and 55 RR in Tahab, Pulwama on Saturday, leading to the recovery of arms and ammunition from the individual.

An official revealed that the arrest was made following the interrogation of 18-year-old Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) operative Danish Bashir Ahenger, also known as Maulvi. Danish was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation at a checkpoint in Pulwama on Tuesday with ten grenades and five batteries in his possession.

Sources have indicated that Sajjad Ahmed Dar allegedly served as the overseer of Danish Bashir Ahenger, purportedly encouraging the latter to engage as an OGW. Moreover, reports suggest that Sajjad Ahmed Dar is an experienced OGW with a history dating back to 2006, having reportedly journeyed to Pakistan in connection with his involvement with Hizbul Mujahideen.
