An explosion close to a CRPF school in Rohini is currently under investigation by the Delhi Police, who are gathering information from the Telegram account ‘Justice League India’.

The Delhi Police are investigating the significant blast near a CRPF school in Rohini. They have contacted the social media platform Telegram to gather details regarding an account called ‘Justice League India’, as per PTI.

Following the explosion, social media platforms were abuzz with the sharing of a Telegram post from Justice League India. The post contained a clip of the blast, featuring a “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark, hours after the incident occurred.

The Justice League India stated in a post, accompanied by a video clip, that should the Indian agency and its superiors believe they can employ thugs to intimidate their members and stifle their dissent, they are gravely mistaken. The group emphasized their proximity and readiness to retaliate at any moment. #KhalistanZindabad #JLI.

Thick plumes were visible in videos captured at the explosion location.

Authorities and bystanders have recounted that the explosion, captured on surveillance cameras, caused harm to a section of a school wall, broke the windowpanes of adjacent shops, and impacted multiple parked vehicles.

From a distance of several hundred meters, the explosion’s sound resonated clearly.

Local residents have reported that authorities believe the bomb detonated between 7:35 and 7:40 a.m. after being planted late at night.

A series of bomb threats targeting multiple airlines has been reported lately, with this incident being the latest in line.

‘A powerful explosion’ is how locals are portraying the incident.

Following the explosion, inhabitants characterized it as “severe” and mentioned a lingering unpleasant odor in the vicinity.

Upon her return from the temple, Anita Singh, a resident of the area, was startled by the deafening blast she heard.

Recalling the event, she described sensing tremors within her residence, as though a nearby cylinder had detonated. Typically, she waits by the school gate each morning for her children’s bus.

Singh added that it was a relief that the incident happened on a Sunday, sparing anyone from harm. He pondered the potentially catastrophic outcome had it taken place on a weekday.

Inspections and sample collection were carried out by teams from the FSL and NSG, as the police launched a legal case under BNS sections pertaining to “mischief through explosion” and the Explosives Act.

Robots have been employed by NSG commandos to scour the vicinity for any more explosive substances.

“A senior police officer indicated that the white powder might be a mixture of ammonium nitrate and chloride. The perpetrator seemingly chose the location to avoid harming anyone, intending instead to send a message.”
