Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, reportedly communicated with the individuals responsible for Baba Siddique’s murder prior to the incident, leading to the discovery of a linked Snapchat account, as per a recent report.

The Mumbai Police revealed a significant link between the assassination of Baba Siddique and Lawrence Bishnoi, stating that Anmol Bishnoi, the gangster’s cousin, was in contact with the shooters of the Nationalist Congress Party leader shortly before the crime took place. According to The Times of India, Anmol Bishnoi used a messaging application to communicate with Baba Siddique’s assailants, exchanging images of the politician and his son.

Some of the communication within the app was eliminated, yet the Mumbai crime branch chanced upon remnants of the dialogue that had escaped deletion. According to the authorities, the exchanges between the shooters and Anmol Bishnoi occurred via the messaging platform Snapchat, where the criminal shared images of Baba Siddique and his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique.

Authorities are speculating that communication might have taken place through Snapchat, given that the platform is known for its ephemeral nature, where messages and images vanish after 24 hours.

According to law enforcement authorities, there are distinct layers in this case: the perpetrators who pulled the trigger, the individuals providing the weapons, and now, the focus is shifting towards unveiling the third layer, potentially implicating conspirators and individuals behind the contract to commit the crime.

Before executing the attack on Baba Siddique, the Mumbai Police revealed that the hired shooters engaged in firearm training in the forest during five separate sessions. These practice drills occurred in September, during which the shooters honed their skills by targeting trees.

Mumbai Police informed ANI that the assailants honed their shooting skills in a forest along the Karjat-Khopoli Road prior to their attack on Baba Siddique. The suspects reportedly trained by aiming at a tree in the forest close to Palasadari village, near a waterfall on the same road.

On October 12, Baba Siddique met his tragic end outside the office building of his son Zeeshan in Bandra East. The merciless attack was carried out by three armed individuals, resulting in Siddique sustaining three gunshot wounds. In a chilling turn of events, Shubham Lonkar, an alleged associate of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, took to social media to confess to the heinous crime.

One of the suspects revealed during questioning that the gangster singled out Baba Siddique because he believed Siddique was morally questionable and had ties to don Dawood Ibrahim. The suspect also mentioned Siddique’s close friendship with Bollywood actor Salman Khan as a reason for the targeting.

Ram Kanojia, one of the suspects in custody, confessed under interrogation that he had been assigned the task of assassinating the NCP leader first and had initially requested a sum of one crore rupees for the job, as per the Mumbai Crime Branch.
