Republic India Economic Summit : India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman , will be the chief guest at the 4th edition of the Republic Media Network’s India Economic Summit on November 12, 2024. The event will take place at the Republic Media Network headquarters, the largest news center in Asia. The summit will focus on the theme “Viksit Bharat: Bullseye”, exploring India’s path to becoming a $50 trillion economy by 2047. Sitharaman will lead a discussion on the government’s vision, key economic reforms, and policy priorities aimed at driving India towards prosperity and self-reliance.

The summit will bring together leading policymakers, business leaders, and industry experts to discuss the future of India’s economy. Baba Ramdev, founder of Patanjali Ayurved, will highlight the importance of indigenous industries, particularly Ayurveda and natural products, as a potential global leader.

The summit will also feature a panel on the Billionaire Mindset, with Rashesh Shah, Chairman of Edelweiss, and Sundeep Sikka, CEO of Nippon MF. They will discuss India’s changing financial landscape and investment strategies, focusing on how the rise of retail investors and increased financial literacy are contributing to wealth creation in India.

The digital revolution will be another key topic. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder of InfoEdge, and Sarbvir Singh, CEO of PolicyBazaar, will talk about India’s rapidly growing digital economy. They will highlight how India, with its billion connected users, is becoming a “digital goldmine,” with a booming fintech sector.

The summit will focus on India’s automotive industry, featuring leaders from Mercedes, Ducati, and JSW MG Motors.

Keynote Speakers and Partners at the Summit

BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog, will kick off the event with a keynote address, focusing on India’s growth potential and key drivers such as policy reforms, innovation, and investment. Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Aarin Capital, will emphasize the role of entrepreneurship and the private sector in India’s economic development.

The summit will also address India’s growing role in global trade. Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, will discuss the government’s plans to improve trade infrastructure, positioning India as a global logistics hub. Chandrajit Banerjee of CII and Subhrakant Panda of FICCI will talk about strategies to leverage India’s industrial capacity and workforce to strengthen the country’s competitive position in the global market.
